Red Rooibos Tea

Description Botanical Name: Aspalathus linearis Components: Rooibos tea comes from dried leaves of the Rooibos bush. Red rooibos has an aromatic taste and natural sweetness with hints of honey and vanilla. The leaves are green on the bush, but once harvested turn they red as they are exposed to oxygen. Less oxidized leaves can be sold as green rooibos tea, which has a grassy, mineral flavor. Overview: Red rooibos tea contains 50% more antioxidants than green tea, making this tea one of the best for soothing inflammation and destroying free radicals that can cause cancer. Rooibos is good for cholesterol, lowers blood pressure and promotes bone health. Its natural sweetness and aspalathin content reduce stress hormones that cause hunger and fat storage, making it a great choice when trying to lose weight.
