Green Sencha Leaf Tea

Description Botanical Name:  Camellia sinensis Components:  Sencha leaf tea comes from the season’s fresh harvest of the first young leaves. The leaves are handpicked in the high mountaintops of Japan and immediately steamed to retain their flavor and vibrant color. Robust, grassy flavor. Contains caffeine. Overview:  Sencha green tea contains antioxidants and polyphenolic compounds that help fight free radicals within the body, and it has been shown to strengthen the immune system and reduce oxidative stress. It is also a good source of vitamin C. Uses:  For the perfect cup of green Sencha leaf tea: put one large tablespoon of tea into a strainer and place in cup; heat fresh filtered water to 175˚F and pour 8 oz over tea; steep for 3-5 minutes; remove strainer and tea leaves; enjoy hot or cold!
