It combines a PWM controller and a 650V power MOSFET within a single monolithic chip, providing an efficient, reliable, and space-saving solution for low-power AC–DC converter designs.Engineered by STMicroelectronics, the VIPer12A operates directly from rectified mains input and supports flyback, buck, or buck-boost topologies. It features constant-frequency PWM operation, current-mode control, and comprehensive protection features such as over-voltage, over-temperature, and over-current protection.
